Helen J. Rosenblum was born in New York City and presently resides in Shelter Island, New York. She attended law
school at Fordham University School of Law in New York and also Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles, California.
She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1975. Ms. Rosenblum moved back to New York City from
Los Angeles in 1977 and worked in the movie industry for several years until she commenced the practice of law in 1984 in
Riverhead, New York where she has maintained an office to the present. In addition to her private practice, Ms. Rosenblum
served as the town attorney for the Town of Shelter Island from 1986 to 2001. She presently serves as a town justice
for the Town of Shelter Island, as a presiding justice of the East End Regional Intervention Court which is a drug treatment
court, and as the attorney for the Shelter Island Fire District.
In addition to her legal activities, Ms. Rosenblum is an EMT-Critical Care provider with the Shelter Island Red Cross
Ambulance and is a member of several Suffolk County committees relating to emergency services.
